The closest thing currently available to the Tempts' first Greatest Hits album, this CD actually provides partial redemption for the generally redundant Millennium Collection series. Sticking with one exception (the ambiguous drug song "Cloud Nine") to the group's '60s love songs, it's a quick reminder of what made them such a major part of radio-listening romancers' lives then and now. From the sweet "My Girl" and "The Way You Do the Things You Do" to the rough-edged, nearly paranoid "(I Know) I'm Losing You, " these hits demonstrate the many ways Motown knew to say "I love you.
