Given this box set's grandiose title and three discs' worth of chestnuts roasting, songs about silent nights, and ho, ho, ho, you'd expect--if you're serious about Christmas music--a little bit more than what's actually here. The Millennium Collection is heavily saturated with classics you probably have, and if you're a baby boomer, chances are you will already possess many of the R&B tracks from the Motown era and some of the random, more contemporary songs by Angela Winbush, Aaron Neville, and Boyz II Men. That said, the set is still a good, eclectic sampling of old and new holiday music even though it's embarrassingly short on country and rock.
