Flowers are the sex organ of the plant so it only makes sense that they would hold aphrodisiac properties!
If you choose to use flowers in your meals, it is important to make sure that you buy your flowers at a reputable dealer to ensure they are free of pesticides. In fact, this is one of those cases where buying organic is not only beneficial, but also necessary.
Orchids, geraniums, violets, lilies, hibiscuses, mimosas and roses are amongst the many flowers refuted for their aphrodisia. You could even finish your dinner table decor with a beautiful bouquet assembled from the flowers included in your meal!

After sharing their treasure with the Spanish conquistador, Hernan Cortes, chocolate moved on to conquer the heart of Europe.
Historical figures have long relied on the powers of chocolate, from Casanova who believed it to be magic, to the Catholic church that believed it was sin to share chocolate!
From the Sea
Although Oysters have always been considered an aphrodisiac, scientists are starting to question this theory. Some believe that the sensual properties attributed to the oyster come only from the shape of its flesh, which resembles the female sex organ. Others firmly believe that their high levels of zinc and iodine are responsible for its aphrodisiac powers. Any which way, you'll never know if it works before you try them!
Caviar has always been associated with luxury and champagne, and consequently to romance. This is probably why people believe it possesses powerful aphrodisiac properties. It is recommended as a libido enhancer by the Kama-Sutra, so who really needs scientific proof knowing that!
Strawberries & Champagne
In the same way that bright red lips are subconsciously reminiscent of the female sex organs, so are strawberries. When paired with the luxurious tiny bubbles of champagne, they create a perfect combination of romance and sensuality.
Powerful Rosemary
Emotional memory is extremely sensitive to smell. Sometimes it only takes a subtle scent to take us back to a memorable moment in time.
Keeping this in mind, it is easy to recognize that rosemary, with its powerful and captivating aroma, is considered a powerful aphrodisiac. Who ever said rosemary was limited to cooking!? Women have been using its perfume for many moons to bewitch the objects of their affection.
